Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches: Meetings will be held in English and German. Mondays 11 - 16, in the Bungalow The first meeting will be held on November 7th Studio visits by appointment
Inhalt: The energy propelling speech deems logic, often, totally irrelevant. In conversation the constant drive to refine, revise and rewrite ourselves mid-sentence make spoken language compelling and guide us through constant redirection. In Monday meetings we will study the form and function of conversation (fictional and real) developing ways to create meaning through speech and its alternative forms. This is a practice-based class. The group will consider how text is used in combination with the still and moving image as well as music. Through speaking, writing, and recording we will use our own words to examine the natural illogical shifts apparent in spoken language that reflect our thought process. An exercise might follow this form: Talk - record - transcribe - reconstruct - shift speaking roles - perform - record - transcribe - and on and on. The group will work together on a collection of transcripts, images and recordings that may result in an Audioplay.
