Inhalt:
Who should take this class? - students with no prior knowledge of German

At the end of the course students
- Begin to understand and use a few familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases
- Should be able to introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about basic personal information
- Could interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help

Grammar focus:
- Personal pronouns
- possessive pronouns
- Present tense (conjugation of verbs)
- Sentence structures (sentence/verb bracket)
- Nouns: genders and cases Nominativ and Akkusativ
- Modal verbs
- Separable prefix verbs

Speaking / Writing focus:
- Personal introduction / basic information (name, origin, address, family, hobbies)

Course completion requirements:
- Written exam
- Oral exam
