Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches: In this course students develop their language competencies necessary for successful academic performance including writing and presenting. Furthermore, students have the opportunity to further different core skills necessary for the application process and first professional experiences.
Inhalt: Students will become more self-critical writers as a result of writing and editing their own and others' work and they will analyse language and structures in articles, emails, essays and other literature, read and analyse texts on science and nature themes, contribute to class discussions and submit regular minor written assignments.
Empfohlene Literatur: Course materials will be provided by the instructor. Course materials include, among others, scientific/academic videos, podcasts, scientific & academic articles & news, documentaries, language-specific handouts and exercise materials. Grading will be based on a set of integrated assignments.
