Voraussetzungen / Organisatorisches: This course introduces students to the guidelines for academic presentations and the compilation of handouts. An additional skill that students are to acquire in the course are discussion skills that are appropriate in academic discourse in terms of language repertoire and argumentation. The subject matters addressed in the course are key concepts and myths of American culture and their presentation in American literature. Enrollment: Note. This course is one of three preparatory courses (together with Academic Writing and Research and the course Survey Course American Literary and Cultural Studies) designed for international students enrolled in the MA Program American Studies.
