Inhalt: Who should this class? - students with no prior knowledge of German At the end of the course students - begin to understand and use a few familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases - should be able to introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about basic personal information - could interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help Grammar focus: • Personal pronouns • possessive pronouns • Present tense (conjugation of verbs) • Sentence structures (sentence/verb bracket) • Nouns: genders and cases Nominativ and Akkusativ • Modal verbs • Separable prefix verbs Speaking / Writing focus: - Personal introduction / basic information (name, origin, address, family, hobbies) Course completion requirements: - Written exam - Oral exam
