This course will present, practice and evaluate the didactics of teaching literature in the EFL classroom. You will get an insight into the theoretical base of teaching literature as well as practice examples, develop own ideas and lesson plans and evaluate them. We will look at different genres, such as novels, short stories, film etc. Students are required to do the course readings, prepare well before and after sessions, be ready for short presentations and work actively throughout the course.
For our sessions on novels, drama and Shakespeare you are required to read a complete work which will be agreed upon in the first session.
