Requirements / organisational issues:
The lecture is primarily directed towards physics master students, but can also be attended by advanced undergraduate students. Basic knowledge from the B.Sc. is being expected. Knowledge at the level of the module Experimental Physics 5b "Nuclear and Particle Physics" are advantageous. If in doubt, please ask the lecturer.

1. Cosmology and Evolution of the Universe
     cosmological models and parameters
     cosmological distances and their measurement
     the early universe
     matter-antimatter asymmetry
     primordial nucleosynthesis
     Cosmic Microwave Background
     structure formation
     
2. Dark Matter
     evidence
     candidates
     direct and indirect searches

3. Cosmic Rays
    Composition, propagation and detection of charged cosmic rays
    
4. Neutrinos
   Sources and detection of cosmic, solar and terrestrial neutrinos

5. Cosmic gamma radiation
   Sources and detection of pointy and diffuse gamma radiation

6. Gravitational waves
   Sources and detection of gravitational waves

It is planned to complete the list of topics in the following semester.
In particular, the following in-depth topics will then be discussed:
(WS 19/20):
    Formation, classification and evolution of galaxies
    Active galactic nuclei and galaxy clusters
    Formation, evolution and final stages of stars
    Stellar nucleosynthesis
