Requirements / organisational issues:
This online course combines assignments for guided self-study with informative input by the course conductors. You will also be given the opportunity to ask questions relating to the topics treated in this lecture in different Moodle discussion fora. We encourage you to ask all organisational and content-related questions you might have in these contexts. Please refrain from sending us individual messages directly to our e-mail accounts.
The lecture is divided into different modules organised in a chronological sequence (see the separate PDF-document “Syllabus” in the section “General Information” in our Moodle classroom). Each module covers a key area in literary studies and consists of a variety of activities – PowerPoint presentations, handouts, as well as preparatory assignments and tasks for revision and reflection – for which we have allotted a certain amount of study time. The course is asynchronous, which means that you do not have to study the materials in the designated weekly slot, but can deal with them in your own time.
Assignments and self-study tasks will not be checked and graded by us: They are a means for you to extend and apply your knowledge and skills and to prepare you for the exam that completes this lecture. This is an electronic test covering all information presented in this course. Information about this exam and its format will be provided in due course!
