This lecture consists of:
a) a classical lecture series (given by Prof. Wagner), which treats basics of radative transfer and applied radiation examples, e.g. remote sensing;
b) a computer practical couse (supervised by Prof. Tost), starting after Chrismas, in which a Monte-Carlo approach for photon ray tracing in a 2D atmosphere is going to be developed, programmed (using the FORTRAN language) and analysed.
Additional information:
The computer course (after Christmas) will last for 4 lecture hours each time - a suitable date will be selected during the lectures.
Digital teaching:
The whole lecture series will be digital. The lecture courses will be given via Skype by Prof. Wagner. For that purpose he will need the Skype-Account-Names of the students and will contact you individually.
The computer course will be given via MS-Temas in case that a live computer course will still not be possible after christmas.
