Requirements / organisational issues:
This tutorial supplements the lecture series „Contemporary Research in Social Sciences"(CRiSS). It is open to all international and regular JGUstudents. Participants learn to understand, structure and analyse lectures of diverse fields of study as well as to critically reflect on the lectures’ content. Thereby, participants not only improve their English listening skills but also gain key competences of advanced scientific work. In addition, participants get to know basic techniques of science communication and apply those to the contents of the CRiSS lectures.
Credits:
Students receive 3 ECTS by regularly participating and submitting structured summaries of the CRiSS-talks, and finally submitting one journalistic text. Details will be provided in the first session.
